Gangtok, Ravangla and Pelling Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Embark on a mesmerizing journey from Pakyong airport to the enchanting hills of Gangtok. After checking into your cozy hotel, lose yourself in the vibrant ambiance of M.G. Marg, indulging in local delights and soaking in the lively atmosphere. Return to your hotel for a romantic candlelight dinner, where the flickering flames and delectable cuisine create an unforgettable evening of intimacy and delight, capturing the essence of Gangtok's charm in every moment.
Day 2
Tour around Gangtok including handloom and handicraft, Ganesh Tok, flower show, chorten monastery, institute of tibetology, tashiview point. Flower show houses large number of flower as well the ornamental plants of sikkim. During the flowering season, exhibitions and competitions are held here. Sikkim has around 4000 species of flowering plants. Institute of tibetology houses large number of buddhist scriptures as well acts as museum. Tashiview point provides an excellent view of mount kanchendzonga and far-flung north sikkim villages. Telescopic view of mountains is available. Chorten stupa is situated near tibetology.
Day 3
After a tasty breakfast, you will leave to visit the famous Tsomgo Lake aka Changu Lake. It has an elevation of about 3,780 m, offers breathtaking scenic beauty, is home to Brahminy Ducks and many other migratory bird’s and is popular for its colour changing phenomenon. Following this, you will visit the shrine of the famous Baba Mandir where it is believed that his spirit protects every soldier in the inhospitable high-altitude terrain of the Eastern Himalayas. Later, you can also visit Nathula Pass* (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) which is one of the most crucial passes on the crossroads of the India-China border (at an additional cost). Later, return back to Gangtok for an overnight stay.
Day 4
As the first rays of the morning sun kiss the horizon, begin your day with a hearty breakfast, fueling up for an extraordinary adventure ahead. Your journey to the captivating landscapes of North Sikkim beckons, and at around 10 AM, bid farewell to Gangtok and set forth towards the picturesque village of Lachung, nestled at a breathtaking altitude of 8600 feet and is close to the tibetan border. It is also home to the 19th-century buddhist lachung monastery. Surrounded by apple orchards, the destinations mesmerising beauty is awe-inspiring. Singhik view point and seven sister waterfalls. En-route, visit the singhik view point and seven sister waterfalls. The viewpoint is a paradisiacal retreat from the loudness of the cities. It offers its visitors’ a stunning view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt Siniolchu. The seven sister waterfall is one of the most pristine waterfalls in the region. It derives its name from the fact that it cascades in seven states and is extremely captivating. You can have lunch midway at the namok and take a short tea break at chungthang. Post that; proceed on your journey to lachung. On arrival in lachung, check in at the hotel. Enjoy a delicious dinner meal which will be served in the hotel itself and spend the overnight comfortable.
Day 5
Wake up to the sounds of Yak's bell and have an early breakfast. Later, head out to explore Sikkim's Valley of Flowers, also known as Yumthang Valley, which is at an altitude of 11,800 ft. Witness the play of colors as the valley showcases vegetation of Primula, Rhododendron, and other colorful alpine flowers. After this, you can also visit Zero Point* which happens to be the last outpost of civilization and the place where three rivers meet amid a panoramic view of snow-clad mountains and picturesque surroundings. On the way back, don’t forget to explore the Hot Springs of this region, which are believed to have medicinal properties. After sightseeing, head back to the hotel, have your lunch, and then depart for Gangtok. Check-in and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6
Following a leisurely breakfast in the morning, you will check out of the hotel and be driven to your Pelling accommodation. The approximate 113 km travel time from Gangtok to Pelling / Darap (6,100 ft.) takes 5 hours total. Through Ravengla additionally go to Buddha Park. In the northern Indian state of Sikkim, at the base of Mount Khangchendzonga, sits the little town of Pelling.The route from Gangtok to Pelling is replete with picturesque sights of deep valleys and steep green hills. You will also come across numerous mountain rivers and breathtaking waterfalls while on your Pelling tip. While travelling to Pelling, stop for lunch. After arriving at your hotel, get changed. You are free for the rest of the evening to go on a leisure walk along the misty track through pine forest or try the local cuisine or simply enjoy the beautiful landscape of Pelling from your hotel room. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 7
After breakfast start for full day sightseeing. start your local sightseeing of Pelling from Darap Village this sleepy village is nestled on a gentle slope of the mountain and is mostly occupied by the Limboo tribe, although there are small population of other communities as well. 1st Half tour - Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, New Halipad Ground. In afternoon start for 2nd Half tour - Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls. Overnight stay at pelling.
Day 8
Early morning breakfast - drive to siliguri, on the way to bagdogra airport (ixb) / new jalpaiguri railway station (njp) - it is approximately 130 kilometers and 4 to 5 hours drive - the road will be bit busy and jam is frequent - the drive will be along the river teesta - stoppage at rangpo / chitrey or melli for a cup of tea is advisable - one stop at coronation bridge if time permits - one will travel through the area of natural beauty - rafting on the way is an optional (most operators are not registered with any government wing hence try to avoid the same) - drive to bagdogra airport (ixb) / new jalpaiguri railway station (njp) /siliguri. As soon as you are dropped off at the appropriate area to continue your journey, your tour comes to an end. It's time to return home with a tonne of happy memories.
